I just wanted to share this newspaper article I read about a lady who lives near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is looking for a family who will take in her grown son with autism and love him.

I think I should post this link on my blog too and I will email it to family and friends. Maybe if word gets spread across the country, it will be God's way of providing an answer to prayer. Our children are young and I have often been concerned about their care, especially Mason's should something happen to us. I never thought about what I might have to face with him as an adult. Breaks my heart!

ReplyDeleteThis article sure touched my heart. It is where we are at or are going to be in a few short years. That's why we want so desperately to get some Christian Family Homes going. We have a man who is willing to give of his time to get us started and he has experience in this area. Right now we are praying for a couple who has a special needs adult (as we do with Trent) who would serve on our board. Then we can file as a not-for-profit organization. This couple must have the same faith that we have. There are so many people out there who have a need in this area--and yet there have been no answers! God has the answers, and that's what we are seeking. Thank you for sharing this article.
